Why do so many book authors fail?
It starts with I’m so tired.
I’ve already commited too much money.
I just want to write. Leave me alone.
My books are really good. People will discover me on their own.
I don’t have any time.
Lack of commitment: time, energy, and money.
Lack of vision, lack of passion.
They don’t want to get off their tush.
Avoid publishing predators.
Avoid the vanity press arena of POD publishers like Author House, Author Solutions, and iUniverse.
Avoid the seductions of Balboa Press (POD division of Hay House) and WestBow Press (POD division of Thomas Nelson).
Avoid the pay to publish predators where you buy 1,000 copies and get published using plain vanilla templates.

The differences between author platforms and book platforms.
Author platforms apply to all books written by the author.
Book platforms apply to one book, related titles, or a book series (Chicken Soup for the Soul, Dummies, Idiots, etc).
